A small-town bakery with a big heart. Every treat is homemade from scratch, crafted with care and a sprinkle of nostalgia. With a background in both the medical field and the food service industry, I’ve finally found my true calling—blending precision, passion, and creativity into something sweet.

Refunds and Cancellations

At The Sugar Unit, we bake everything fresh with love and care! To make sure every order is prepared just right, we have a few simple policies in place regarding payments, shipping, and cancellations:

Pre-Payments

  • All orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering. This ensures your spot on our baking schedule and that we can purchase the freshest ingredients for your treats.
  • Orders are not confirmed until payment is received.

Shipping & Delivery

  • We currently ship orders within the U.S. using trusted carriers (USPS/UPS).
  • Once your order leaves our kitchen, we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • Since cookies are fragile, we package them carefully to minimize breakage. However, please note that some settling or crumbling may occur in transit.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Free local pickup (or delivery) may be available — check our options at checkout.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • 72 hours’ notice is required for order cancellations to receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice are non-refundable, as supplies and baking prep may already be underway.
  • For custom or large orders, cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable.

Changes to Orders

  • We will do our best to accommodate changes (flavors, quantities, pickup/delivery time), but they must be requested at least 48 hours before your scheduled order.
  • Last-minute changes may not be possible once ingredients have been purchased or baking has started.

No-Shows / Missed Pickups

  • Orders not picked up on the scheduled date/time will not be refunded.
  • We encourage customers to reach out if running late so we can work with you.

Quality Guarantee

  • We take pride in making every order as perfect as possible. Since cookies are made from ingredients that naturally melt, crumble, and shift during packaging and transport, minor imperfections may occur.
  • If there is a serious issue with your order, please contact us immediately so we can make it right.
